2009 3D Animation Boring Life Endangered Family Family Ties Fantasy Ghosts Second Life
‘Coraline’ is based on the book written by Neil Gaiman and is directed by Henry Selick; it is the first animation movie filmed in 3-D and high definition.
The film tells the story of a young girl (with the voice of Dakota Fanning) who leads a very boring life; she moves into a new house and her life is about to get much more interesting. She finds a secret door in the new house and she discovers a second version of her life. At first sight, the parallel reality is very similar to the one she is living, and even better.
But when her incredible and wonderful adventure begins to slip on the dangerous side and her other mother (the voice of Teri Hatcher) tries to keep her by her side for good, Coraline will have to prove her courage and determination in order to escape. With the help of her neighbors and of a talking black cat, she will save her parents and some ghost children and she will go back home safely.
