Shawn MacArthur is a small town boy who arrives in New York totally broke; he can barely earn a living by selling fake brand products on the streets.
His fate changes by 180 degrees when Harvey Boarden finds him and realizes that he is a natural born fighter.
He offers to help Shawn and between them there is a quite awkward relationship; Harvey introduces Shawn to the underground world of boxing without gloves.
In an instant, Shawn becomes a star, beating up professional boxers, wrestling champions and important figures of the boxing world.
