During The World War II, Shosanna, a Jewish girl, flees to Paris trying to escape the Nazi’s persecution after her family is massacred. She meets a kind woman who takes pity on her and decides to take her in and take care of her.
While Shosanna works at the movie theatre owned by her protector, a Nazi propaganda movie is scheduled to be screened at the cinema, with several Nazi crowned heads attending to the premiere. Shosanna thinks of getting her revenge but her plans intersect those of a secret American guerrilla-like squad, also planning to sabotage the screenplay.
The squad is called the Basterds and its purpose is to hunt down German soldiers, brutally slaughter them and leave some alive, after carving a swastika on their foreheads. They want to bring terror into the Nazi’s lines, give them a taste of their own medicine.
