The movie stars Mark Wahlberg as DEA agent Max Payne who tries to solve a series of murders in New York City together with an assassin (Mila Kunis) out to avenge her sister’s death.

Payne is a mythic anti-hero determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murders of his family and partner. The duo will be hunted bye the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation involved in the death of max’s family. Driven by revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As Max gets closer to the truth, the mystery deepens, and he is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world.
