In 208 A.C. in China, the warrior and Prime Minister Cao Cao convinces the last emperor of the Han dynasty that the only way to reunite all territories under his power is to declare war to his Eastern and Western neighbors -the Xu and the Wu dynasties.

When the Wu territory is invaded by Cao Cao’s millions of soldiers, leader Sun Quan asks for the help of the Wu leader Liu Bei, thus forming a political alliance quite unlikely to happen in other conditions; unfortunately, even both armies put together prove to be much less numerous than Cao Cao’s.

The ingenious strategy master Zhou Yu from the Wu territory notices that Cao Cao’s soldiers are not used to fighting at sea and decides to exploit this weakness as much as possible in order to stand a chance in the fight with Cao Cao.

In the famous Red Cliff battle, which marked the ending of the Han dynasty and changed the history of China forever, 2000 boats of Cao Cao’s 10,000 boats have been totally destroyed.
