The second part of the movie ‘Red Cliff’, due to appear in 2009, is based on the legendary battle of Red Cliff, in which an army of fifty thousand people defeated an army of almost one million soldiers.
In 208 A.D., in the final days of the Han Dynasty, Prime Minister Cao Cao convinces Emperor Han that the only way to unite all China is to declare war on the kingdoms of Xu in the west, and East Wu in the south.
A military campaign, led by the Pime Minister himself, begins.
Being in a desperate situation, the kingdoms of Xu and East Wu form an unlikely alliance.
Ferocious battles take place, culminating in the battle of Red Cliff. During the battle, the course of Chinese history is changed forever.
