Everybody wants to be Italian (2008)

‘Everybody wants to be Italian’ is a comedy, whose main character, Jake Bianski, is a fish merchandiser. He was left by his girlfriend and he has never got over this unhappy love.

For the last 8 years, Jake has tried to convince the woman of his life to return to him, although, now she is married to another man and she is the mother of three children.

Jake is depressed and he is incapable of getting over his past. His two friends, Steve Bottino and Gianluca Tempesti, decide to help Jake get over his last relationship. They set up a date for him with a beautiful Italian woman, named Marisa Costa.

Jake feels very attracted to this special woman and he is convinced that such a woman would never accept to have a relationship with a man that is not Italian.

In order to determine Maria Costa to fall in love with him, Jake pretends to be Italian. He learns the language and the customs and traditions of the Italian people.
