Tim Allen returns in the role of Scott Calvin, also known as Santa Claus.
This time, he tries to maintain a nut house under control and defeat the evil Jack Frost, who is very jealous at him and is hoping to take his place one day.
Even with the risk of revealing the position of his secret North Pole operations centre, Scott invites his parents in law, Sylvia and Bud Newman, to spend the Christmas holidays with him and his wife Carol.
There are also persons involved in this adventure, such as his son Charlie, his ex wife Laura and her new husband and several elves that are helping him get Jack Frost out of his way.
