It is Christmas Eve and a lot of people are still on the airport, waiting to board on flights that will take them home or on some exotic holiday destination.
On the Chicago airport there will be no plane taking off because of a very strong snow storm and that means that many holidays will be ruined.
Since they cannot continue with their trip to see their father, young Spencer and his little sister Katherine are taken to a special area of the airport destined to accommodate unaccompanied minors.
Soon enough, what initially looked like a long and boring wait transformed into a crazy adventure; the two brothers ‘unite’ their forces with those of the other kids there and turn the airport into their playground.
