The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (2002)

The film is a mixture of reality and fantasy, and tells the story of a group of boys who are great fans of comics books.

Not only do they read the ones other people created, but they also draw their own stories, inspired from what they see around them every day; that tends to make the personnel of the religious school they go to quite angry.

The action takes place in the ‘70s in a religious school in the South of the United States. A bunch of boys get caught drawing a comic book which not only includes their alter-egos posing as superheroes, but also the sexual encounters of one of the priests with a nun.

They were severely punished, but they had the time to think os a revenge plan that would make them the school’s heroes.
