20-year-old Brian Weathersby (Paul Dano) feels unfulfilled by his work (he’s a salesmen at a Swedish mattress company) and present situation. The fact that both his brother are successful in their careers, isn’t helping him either.
His dream is to adopt a Chinese child and spends a great deal of his time trying to reach his goal. His life changes when, one day, a beautiful girl named Harriet Lolly, falls asleep on one of the mattresses in the store. They seem to be made for each other and Brian falls in love with her, but when he meets her father he realizes he’s in big trouble.
The guy is quite a character with a strong and sometimes obnoxious personality, and competing with him over Harriet is quite a challenge. Will their love withstand the test of their crazy families?
