Nacho Libre (2006)
Nacho Libre

Nacho Libre

The chef from a Mexico monastery realizes that he’s not made only for the kitchen. So, one day he finds a way of winning money in an unusual way: lucha libre (wrestling).

Nacho discovers that he has a special gift in this domain and he ends up fighting with the most famous wrestlers in Mexico.

As he works in a monastery and the nuns do not agree with this kind of activity, he has to wear a mask during the fights, to hide his face.

In this way, he tries to make the nun Encarnacion to like him and to help the little orphans from the monastery with the money he wins.

In this comedy, Jack Black plays one of the most eccentric characters from his entire career.

For this role the actor had to make considerable physical training.

This was the first time when he shot a sport’s movie and he felt like “recruit in a training camp”.
