Sunshine Cleaning (2009)

‘Sunshine Cleaning’ is a black comedy centred on the story of two unemployed sisters with complicated lives.

One of them is a single mother and the other one is just nuts and irresponsible, and they both find a very original way of earning a living.

Directed by Christine Jeffs, the film tells the story of a more or less normal family trying to make their way through life towards fulfilling their dreams.

Once a leading cheerleader, Rose Lorkowski is now a single mother, working as a housekeeper. Her sister, Norah, lives with their father, a salesman with many failed attempts to get rich.

As she desperately wants to put her son in a better school, Rose convinces Norah to get in business together in order to make some money the fast way; while they work as murder scene cleaners, the two sisters learn to really respect each other and they are finally as close as they have always yearned to be.
