Year of the Dog

Peggy is a single, in her 40s, with no children, lonely secretary. The only love of her life is her dog, Pencil. Out of the blue, Pencil dies after eating some sort of toxin.

With her dog’s death, Peggy’s life changes in unexpected ways. A friendly neighbor invites her to dinner and she is recommended to adopt an abused dog. Peggy adopts the dog and finds herself attracted to it.

She becomes a supporter of the animal rights and she involves her brother’s young children in these concerns.

Saving dogs and other animals becomes a huge passion for Peggy. Because of this her mental health and job may be in danger. How will she regain control of her life?
