They say the human body loses 21 grams when we die …. could just as well be the weight of the human soul….
Paul Rivers is a brilliant professor who was diagnosed with a fatal illness and whose relationship with his wife Mary isn’t going well.
If Paul doesn’t undergo a heart transplant, he will die shortly. As if things weren’t bad enough, his wife wants to have his baby through artificial insemination, idea which Paul disagrees with.
In another corner of the town, Christina Peck has finally found her tranquility after years of being addicted to drugs and alcohol. She is now married to Michael, has 2 daughters and she gets along really well with her sister Claudia.
Jack Jordan is a man of humble origin; after getting out of jail, he decides to lead a normal and tidy life, so he turns to religion in order to go back to the right track. He and his wife now fight in order to provide a future for their two children.
They have never seen eachother…until that unfortunate day…. an accident will irreversibly affect all their lives.
