Based on a novel written by Bret Easton Ellis, the film is a collection of intertwined stories about sex, drugs, alcohol and violence.

It all takes place during one week, in the Los Angeles of 1983.

Graham is a young man with a very strong sense of morality, but incredibly passive; so he does nothing even when he suspects his girlfriend is cheating on him.Laura, his mother, is a sedative addict, has a relationship with a teenager and she can’t get passed William divorcing her.

After the divorce, William got remarried with Cheryl Laine, a young TV news broadcaster, only to leave her a couple of months later.

Tim Price is Graham’s friend; his father takes him on a country tour, because he suspects him of being gay and wants to bond with him as father and son. Contrary to his expectations, things go really bad.

Bryan Metro is a drug and alcohol addicted rock star, with violent sexual behavior and Peter is a heroin addicted psychopath who kidnaps a little boy (along with girlfriend Mary) in order to receive ransom money from his parents.
