Babel (2006)
Babel

Babel

In the Moroccan desert two young brothers in charge with their family’s herd of cattle decide to try a hunting rifle that a tourist forgot about.

Their lack of care leads to a tragic accident and in a very short time the lives of an American couple, of a Mexican woman who is trying to take two American children out of the country and of a young def Japanese girl with her running father will be deeply affected.

Despite being on different continents and speaking different languages, they will all share the same destiny full of suffering and lack of communication.

‘Babel’ was filmed on three continents and in four languages, and shows extremely well the differences that exist between human beings which do not share neither the same culture, nor the same traditions.

The cast features great names, starting with Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Gabriel Garcia Bernal, and it also includes amateur actors form Morocco, Tokyo and Mexico; this way the concept of the biblical story of the Babel Tower is very well illustrated.
