Blindness

The psychological thriller ‘Blindness’ underlines the fragile condition of humanity and is inspired by the novel with the same name, written by the Portuguese writer Jose Saramago, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.

The populations of a today’s modern city is affected by a mysterious disease that causes blindness.

A small group of people tortured by this disability decide to overcome the difficulties of this horrible situation. They are forced to act together, as a community, and, for the first time, they have to rely on each other.

Most of all, they have to rely on the capacities of a doctor’s wife, who, surprisingly, wasn’t affected by this terrible epidemic. In order to help her blind husband and save the entire city from this chaos, she has to pretend she is blind as well, in order to escape the quarantine.
