Edmond Burke is a very successful man: his business is going really well and he is making a lot of money, and he has a family who loves him.

One day he goes to see some psychic woman and his whole life turns upside down. He decides to leave his family and goes on a journey all over the world, in an attempt to rediscover himself and redeem his soul.

He ends up in the underground world of New York, where he kills a pimp and an aspiring actress, which gets him arrested and in jail.

He is just a man who is longing for affection, safety and satisfaction, but he definitely will not get any of that in jail.
