“Gardens of the Night” is the story of an eight year-old little girl named Leslie. She is kidnapped by an older man, Alex, and his accomplice, Frank.
Prisoner in the same house of those individuals is held Donnie too, a boy of the same age with Leslie.
He lives with the impression that his mother, who has serious behavior problems and character disorder, sold him to this man Alex.
The movie represents the story of the strong connection between the two children and their method to escape in an imaginary world, where the physical abuse of the grown-ups doesn’t exist anymore.
Nine years later, Leslie and Donnie wake up in the street, being obliged to learn how to survive in this new world, trying to leave behind the horrible things they’ve been through.
