The writer, editor and director Dennis Dortch takes us by surprise once again with his latest film, called ‘A Good Day to Be Black and Sexy’.
As you can probably guess from the title, the film explores the theme of sexuality and interpersonal relationships within the American black society.
It is basically a collection of six parallel stories which are somehow connected, as all of them take place in the city of Los Angeles; their main purpose is to put an end to the stereotypes that exist related to Black sexuality.
Dortch’s film shows no shyness when having to reveal details of some of the most controversial aspects of contemporary sexuality and the characters range from woman decided to lose her virginity, to the boy who sees himself assaulted by interracial taboos and even to the curious teenager girl caught in a compromising situation.
