Nights in Rodanthe (2008) 

‘Nights in Rodanthe’ is a romantic drama starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. The film is based on a literary work written by Nicholas Sparks, called ‘The Notebook’.

Directed by George C. Wolfe, the story centers on the life of a doctor who travels to another city to see his son, as the boy was living with his mother after their divorce.

Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane) is a woman whose life is nothing but chaos, and

who has now retired to a small town on the coast of Rodanthe, North Carolina; she is here with work only for a weekend, but he hopes to find peace and the time to find solutions to all the problems she has: an unfaithful husband who now wants to come back home, and a daughter that questions every one of her decisions.

During that weekend in Rodanthe, Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere) and Adrienne, comfort each other and start a love story that not only will change their lives, it will change how they are forever.
