Winner of three Oscars, ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ presents Spain, in the year of 1944. Spain is no longer a safe place for anybody , especially for Carmen, a single woman who already has a child named Ofelia, and is expecting another baby.
After Franco’s victory, Carmen goes in the North of the country, with her new husband Vidal, an extremely cruel captain from Franco’s army.
Ofelia, aged 13, discovers one night the ruins of a labyrinth. Here she meets a fairy that tells her that she is the princess long awaited. Ofelia escapes in a captivating fantasy world.
In order to get back to her magic kingdom, Ofelia has to pass three critical challenges, in an adventure in which reality and magic go together.
