Against all odds and financial difficulties, in 1957, a team of 9 baseball players-wannabes from Monterrey Mexico, becomes the first non U. S. team to win the Little League Championship with a winning streak of 13 games, a perfect game which has been unrivaled ever since.
Under the guidance of Cesar Faz, who himself was a non-successful Major League baseball player, and their priest, the children go to the U. S. following their dream of becoming real Little League players, propelled only by their passion for the sport and their belief in God.
They have to surpass many obstacles on the way: lack of material resources, the disapproval of the parents, bigotry (they weren’t allowed into some buses and restaurants) and even being deported but in the end arrive at their destination – Williamsport and earn their place into the history of baseball.
