“Rails & Ties” analyzes the evolution of two families going through a very difficult period in their lives.

There was a time in which Tom and Megan Stark had all the time in the world to go on holiday they had been dreaming of and to start a family; now their marriage seems to be going through a really bad moment and time is not on their side.

Megan has been diagnosed with a potentially lethal disease and Tom seeks refuge in his work, because he cannot even bear the thought of losing his wife. He works as a train conductor and he has everything under control at work…..or so he thinks……

When Tom’s train hits a car parked on the rails by a suicidal mother, his life becomes even more miserable.

Although it hadn’t been his fault, Tom is terrified by the news that he might be losing his job. Moreover, the son of the suicidal woman cannot get over her death and blames Tom for it.

Fortunately, this story ends happily: Megan takes advantage of a second chance she gets to life and they decide to start a family and Tom starts opening his heart to those around him.
