Summer

Shaun is an over 40 Scottish, who lives in a town from northern England and whose life wasn’t to generous with him, all the attempts of improving his way of living were destined to fail.

His main responsibility is to take care of his paraplegic friend named Daz, who end up with a very bad physical shape due to the chronic alcoholism and who has only a few months to live.

Shaun is often haunted by the memories of a more happier adolescence, when he was playing with Daz and he was in love with Katy, a school colleague who was writing his homework to hide from the teachers that he suffering of dyslexia.

Learning difficulties which marked his childhood transformed Shaun in a violent and frustrated young man, being known as a brawler.

In the moment he finds out that Daz is going to die because of his illness, Shaun decides to look for his ex-girlfriend Katy to offer her the chance to say goodbye to their common friend.

The problem is that he lost the connection with the girl for more than 12 years and the lack of guts makes him hesitate to fulfill his plans faster.
