The Day the Earth Stood Still
‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ is a remake of a classic sci-fi movie about an alien and his giant robot who visit earth.
Klaatu is an alien that looks human and that comes to earth to bring an urgent message. The American Government together with scientists try to explain this weird visit coming from an alien.
Klaatu’s message is peaceful and very simple: humanity has to stop any violent act, all the wars must stop and armed forces should abandon their missions. If this will not be done, planet earth will be destroyed by an alien force.
In order to prove his point, Klaatu brings with him a giant robot called Gort, that is capable of massive destruction. Authorities ignore Klaatu’s message and, as a consequence, the alien Klaatu has to destroy the planet.
