The movie is based on the best seller

The main roles are played by Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes.

The movie was filmed in Germany and Poland on a budget of approximately 40 million dollars, and is one of the films the Weinstein brothers hope to win the Oscars with.

Release Date: 9 January 2009

Genre: Drama, History, Romance, Thriller, War

Cast: Kate Winslet (Hanna Schmitz), Ralph Fiennes (Older Michael), David Kross (Young Michael)
