Valkyrie

Directed by Bryan Singer, ‘Valkyrie’ is based on a real event: Hitler’s assassination. The plot is simple: German officers plan to assassinate Adolph Hitler at the height of World War II.

The goal of the German officers is to obtain the power of the military command and end the war. The place of action is during World War II in 1944. The plan to assassinate Hitler fails due to various conspirators.

‘Valkyrie’ is written by Christopher McQuarrie and the cast includes Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Tom Wilkinson and Eddie Izzard. The movie can be considered a thriller and a drama based on real historical facts and Adolph Hitler’s biography.
